The program is designed to assist students who are seeking higher levels of placement in their respective High School program.
During the two weeks, students are familiarized with the content and structure of MIL online courses. Upon leaving the Academy, students continue their learning at home independently with an assigned MIL Online Teacher and complete the remaining content in one semester of the appropriate MIL online course. The French and Spanish program is open to true beginners and students who have completed up to two years of high school language instruction. The Chinese program is open to true beginners and students who have completed up to one year of high school language instruction.
Note: This program does not offer AP prep. Students who have successfully completed three years of High School language instruction and are ready to take AP language classes in the fall are recommended to enroll at the Middlebury-Monterey Language Academy in the level IV course specially designed for students who fit this profile.
