The Summer Academy at National Cathedral School is about engaging students in activities, games, and tangible experiential tasks that educate about the culture that surrounds the language all the while speaking in language and conversing in a very natural environment.
All teachers have specific expertise working in the Middlebury Immersion Methodology, renowned throughout the world for excellence in world language education.
There is truly a world of difference in language learning with our Summer Academy as students are engaged and get the very most out of this unique language learning experience.

For middle school students, the Summer Academy at National Cathedral School provides an opportunity to expand language skills while exploring another culture and way of life. Whether continuing in current world language or starting a new one, our academy offers a great opportunity to be challenged and to meet other students who share a love of language and world cultures.
Designed specifically for rising 5th to 8th grade students, the Summer Academy offers beginner and intermediate level students a one of-a-kind opportunity to acquire authentic world language skills and knowledge. In each Academy, students will work together on creative projects, such as a multi-episode travel program show-casing a city or region of choice or an entertaining soap opera or sitcom.
